The most awkward GTA V purchase caught on camera

There have been a couple of incidents reported around the midnight launch of GTA V a few of days ago, but they both happened after the purchase was complete. This latest one started during the actual purchase, and the guy in question came back for more.

GTA V is a mature rated game, and any retail outlet has a right and responsibility to check the age of the individuals buying a copy. The gentleman in the blue shirt in the video below was asked to verify his age, which he tried to do using his business card. That’s not good enough and the store employee asked for a photo ID. Clearly he was upset by this, but obliged and then informed her he wouldn’t be doing business there again. And he exists the store unhappy…or does he?

Just before he leaves the store the lady who served him makes the mistake of suggesting those filming the midnight launch have the guy’s email address (from the business card he handed her I’d imagine) so they can contact him. That’s when the nerd rage really starts and he returns demanding her details so he can complain.

It’s difficult to watch without cringing, and I don’t actually think he’s correct in continuing to demand her surname. She doesn’t have to supply it, she doesn’t really have to supply any of her details, just how to get in touch with customer services.

She was wrong to shout out what she did and offering to share his email address, but I think he comes off looking worse. The best outcome now is he complains and gets some vouchers in the post. She will probably get reprimanded for her attitude by her manager. Whether he likes it or not, he’s now Internet famous at least.
